He graduated from the School of Visual Arts in 1993 and has showcased his versatility in projects like Enter The Dojo (2012) and Hidden Peaks (2018), distributed by Gravitas Ventures. Past work on Tiger Cops
His comprehensive background in fight choreography and narrative vision makes him ideal for the Echo 8 Trilogy. Previously, he contributed as a fight choreographer, sound designer, and VFX artist on the original Echo 8 film. “The Echo 8 Trilogy is a unique opportunity to create action that’s both gritty and meaningful,” he remarks, emphasizing the importance of character-driven choreography.
Production is underway, with the first installment set for early 2025. The Echo 8 Trilogy aims to demonstrate that indie action films can rival the dynamism and appeal of big-budget productions. Under Castro’s guidance, the trilogy is positioned to break new ground in el cheapo budgeted independent action cinema.
